Western Cape Natural Product Sector

SKA assisted the Department of Economic Development and Tourism to develop a stakeholder platform and common vision for the Natural Ingredients sector in the Western Cape. DEDAT recognized the considerable opportunities present in this sector, but stakeholders were isolated in their parts of the chain and unable to strategically prioritize issues or coordinate efforts. We facilitated industry stakeholder consultation workshops in 2012 and 2013 in order to bring stakeholders together, prioritize issues and opportunities and possible institutional models in which these could be addressed.
