Leadership and mentorship

In 2012 SKA developed the Leadership and Mentorship training programme for the Fresh Produce Exporters Forum (FPEF), in collaboration with Fruit South Africa and International Produce Limited. As an FPEF programme it is aimed at changing the leadership profile within South African fruit farms, pack houses and exporting companies. The programme focuses on improving the leadership of employees to graduate into positions of management through a mentorship program where they are paired with an existing manager to increase their capacity. Through increased exposure and capacity they are better able to foster inclusive and productive work environments that can keep pace with a fast-changing and highly competitive global industry.
